Yo, Listen Up! Here's How to Make Your iPad Talk at You (For Your Band's Sake)

This screen lets you tell OnSong to literally speak stuff out loud—because apparently y'all need a robot to tell your bandmates what's goin' down if they're wearin' fancy in-ear thingies. Groundbreaking. 🙄

Verbal Brain Dumps (AKA Enabled Cues)

OnSong can spout off about a bunch of different things happenin' in your song. Srsly:

• Section will blurt out whatever section label or number you picked. Riveting stuff.
• Song will announce the song title & whatever other info you crammed into the Song Information section. Hope you spelled it right!
• Set will shout the set name when it flips. Your band's gonna love hearin' "Set 2" for the millionth time.
• Count-In will have a robot metronome count you in (if you actually set up count-in measures in Metronome Settings).
• Sticky Note will read whatever you wrote on that sticky note when you tap it. Make it good.
• Metadata will say the stuff in the upper right corner—like Key/Capo or Tempo/Time Signature—when you tap it. Thrilling.
• Comments will recite whatever musical instructions you typed in your text-based songs.
• Lyrics will say the line of lyrics you tapped. Your drummer will totally pay attention.
• Chords will announce the chord name when you tap it. As if anyone needed to hear "Gmaj7" out loud.
• Messages will blurt out whatever message you selected. Hope it's not embarrassing.

Where Does This Robot Voice Come Out? (Output Channels)

Picks which speaker hole gets the vocal cues blasted through it. It's stereo by default, but like, hook up a *real audio interface & you might get more fancy-pants options.*

• All Channels announces on both left & right. Maximum annoyin'.
• Left only yells into the left speaker. Half as annoyin'.
• Right only yells into the right speaker. Also half as annoyin'.

What The Robot Announces (Song Information)

This section controls what the robot actually says when you enable song information cues. We're talkin' Title (the default), Artist, Key, Capo, Tempo & Time Signature. Pick your poison.

More Settings Cuz Why Not (Options)

These tweak how the vocal cue system acts & include:

• Repeat Sections lets you tap the same section over & over to hear it announced again & again & again. The robot will say "repeat" each time too (because we thought that was helpful). It's off by default. Thank goodness.
