The Thingy That Does Stuff

OnSong Console is a fancy-pants Premium feature that lets you manage your OnSong library from a web browser on literally any other computer. You can import & write chord charts, then peep a live preview of your chord chart masterpiece as you type it. When you're finally done tweaking (and tweaking, and tweaking), save it back to your device's library & call it a day.

Fire up the Console screen & ZOMG—a video tutorial about settin' up & usin' Console appears. Srsly, take a sec & watch it. It covers all the common use patterns of this web-based app that we definitely think you'll understand on the first try. You can also scope the video tutorial, frequently asked questions (FAQ) & the OnSong Console user manual.

If you don't have access to Console yet, we're gonna nag you to upgrade. Tap the Enable Console button at the bottom of the screen to turn on Console on your device.

Once it's enabled, a sketchy web address will pop up at the bottom under the Disable Console button. Yep, actually type that into your web browser's location bar to load the Console web application. Tap & hold on the web address to copy it (you're welcome).

This web address is either an IP address (four numbers between 0 & 255 separated by periods—no big deal) that changes every time you switch wireless networks, or a human-readable hostname with the .local suffix that's way less confusing. Tap on the web address to toggle between both formats. But here's the thing: some networks & computer software don't play nice with hostnames on the local network, so the IP address format is our default. If you're usin' an IP address, make sure you're actually typin' in the web address from this screen every single time you use Console. Don't be cute & bookmark the IP address 'cause it's gonna change & make you look silly.
